Those iOS users who are in the habit of always using jailbroken iOS firmwares instead of stock iOS versions will accept that the wait for the next jailbreak has been a very crucial one, and a very long one too. The last jailbreakable iOS firmware was iOS 8.4, for which we had not one but two major jailbreaks for PP and the TaiG team for both Windows and Mac OS X platforms. However, Apple hates jailbreak, which is why the company had released iOS 8.4.1 to patch the iOS 8.4 jailbreak.

After the TaiG jailbreak was patched, everybody’s eyes were set on the iOS 9 jailbreak. However, it has been a lot of weeks since iOS came out and there’s still no official update about an iOS 9 jailbreak release . Meanwhile, Apple is working on iOS 9.1 and will be releasing it soon, which is why all the eyes are set upon the leading jailbreak Team Pangu .
Luca Todesco Releases iOS 8.4.1 Yalu Jailbreak :
Though there is no word from any leading jailbreak team about an iOS 9 jailbreak, a jailbreaker named Luca Todesco [ twitter handle – @qwertyoruiop ] has claimed to have jailbroken iOS 8.4.1 and is going to release the Yalu Jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 very soon. Though Luca has made the jailbreak method available only for advanced users and the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak for the public is in process.
Luca has released the source code for his iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak and has named it as Yalu. He has made Yalu available on GitHub [ext link] and advanced users can use Yalu to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1, as it allows you to install OpenSSH install. However, this source code cannot be used for installing Cydia as of now.
The jailbreak tool that Luca will release for iOS 8.4.1 will be named as the toctou jailbreak tool. Hence, in case you are still running iOS 8.4.1 and want to jailbreak your device, then make sure not to update to iOS 9 and wait for the Yalu jailbreak.
It’s a long wait and an iOS 9 jailbreak is still far away. Hence this is a very good chance to get an iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak. So wait patiently and subscribe to our newsletter to get instant updates.
Pangu Showcased a Jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 :
The Pangu team had demonstrated a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 last month at the HackPwn Conference and thus busted the myth that iOS 8.4.1 was not jailbreakable. The team also released a couple of vulnerabilities in iOS 8.4.1, which is a further hint that a jailbreak iOS 9 from Pangu might be on its way. However, Pangu did not release the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak for the reason that Apple might patch it and may delay the iOS 9 jailbreak further.
Apple had recently thanked Pangu for uncovering an important security exploit in iOS 9, which almost confirms that the Pangu team is indeed working on jailbreaking iOS 9.1.
