Pangu Jailbreak Requirements

While some of us wait for the next Pangu Jailbreak, others have not yet installed the latest release of iOS 9.1 jailbreak. The tool can easily be used to jailbreak any of these devices running on iOS 7 , iOS 8 upto iOS 9.1. With the next generation iPhone firmware,  iOS 10 due to be announced in June at WWDC 2016 , some people are likely to want to wait but, be warned, we are possibly waiting for the very last jailbreak before iOS 10 beta is released as developers will want to concentrate their efforts on that.

Before you jailbreak, you need to be aware of some things you should do first :

  • You must be running Windows XP or above, or Mac OS X 10.6 or above. Linux is not supported at this time
  • Your device should be running on the latest version of the iOS that can be jailbroken – use iTunes as the IPSW method will not work with the jailbreak
  • Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes
  • Make sure you have your lightning or 32-pin connection cable to hand
  • Make sure that your device has enough free space on it for the jailbreak – try to ensure at least 3 GB free, although the jailbreak will not actually take up this much space. Delete any old files, apps that you don’t use, cache and temporary files. You could also move any media files to an external backup source
  • Disable your passcode : Settings > Touch ID Passcode passcode ios 8 iphone 62
  • Disable Find my iPhone : Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone . Both of these settings can be re-enabled later on find my iphone turn off
  • Do make sure that you backup your data using iTunes and iCloud before you download the jailbreak. If anything goes wrong and you need to restore, you will lose everything.

iTunes Backup :

  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer and launch iTunes itunes device summary
  2. Open up Device Summary
  3. Locate Back Up
  4. Click on This Computer
  5. Click on Back Up Nowitunes backup ios 9
  6. Your device data will be backed up to your computer

iCloud Backup :

  1. On your iOS device, open up Settings > iCloud icloud_last_backup_could_not_be_completed
  2. Use your Apple ID to login
  3. Tap on Storage and Backup
  4. Select iCloud Backup
  5. A warning message will appear – tap on OK
  6. Tap Backup Now icloud_backup_ios_91

The warning message you get is just to tell you that, when you enable iCloud backup, you will not be able to sync your iOS device automatically with iTunes. When you have completed your backup, disable iCloud backup to ensure automatic synchronization with iTunes in the future.

  1. Soo y they playing I saw JB requirements and rite away I think he’ll ya JB is out lets do this then nothing WTF …..

    1. no, this website is nothing but hype so far. I get 2-3 emails a week hoping it’s something useful but wrong again, it’s irrelevant emails about everything a senior jailbreaker knows. thats the problem, jailbreak has become too easy that we need emails on how to prepare our device for it before the tool is even created or released.

      1. I agree I have the same thoughts man pointless I don’t think these guys now what’s going on anymore they keep repeating the same info.

  2. I don’t understand nor do I think you guys will ever release a jailbreak anytime soon I been fallowing you guys for the longest while now and to me it seems you guys are behind on most jailbreak…

  3. You are always waiting for the new iOS . When Apple release another iOS like iOS 11, you Will tell us , you are waiting for that. Really Pangu deceive us. Let them continue to wait, wait, wait……

  4. I am already considering moving to android. This is ridiculous…2-4 emails each week for well over 2 months, still nothing. Just hype for a jailbreak that they think they are going to officially release.

    1. No jb = no fun
      No fun= Apple
      Apple = no fun dictator
      No fun dictator= Hitler
… And most of us know what the rest would be

  5. JB is a thing of the past Apple is just offering these DEVS a offer they can’t refuse for there exploits so they don’t release

  6. I think Apple is releasing firmware every outher week so that they will release the jail break and be patch in a week Apple can find the venerability and patch them permanently in response I think the jailbreak will not be released until Apple firmware are no longer updating every week in order to make Apple think they can’t jail break untill Apple releases the final update then after the jail breakers are sure no more updates will be released then and only then will they release the final JB
