2015 is here and, at the moment we have two jailbreaks that we can safely use. Pangu came out to jailbreak iOS 8-8.1 and is still a valid jailbreak for anyone who has not updated their iOS beyond 8.1. We are currently on iOS 8.1.2, jailbreak produced by another team and we can expect to see iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2 in the very near future. So, with all the activity going on, what can we expect for the future from Pangu ?

Update 23 June 2015 :
Finally iOS 8.1.3 and iOS 8.3 Jailbreak for iPhone 6 has been released. This jailbreak this released by Taig Team . You can follow the Full step by step tutorial to Jailbreak iOS 8.1.3 – iOS 8.3 [ext link] in our latest article using Taig 2.0 [ext link] Jailbreak App .
Clearly, when iOS 8.1.3 is released, everyone in the jailbreak will be holding their breath to see if it patched the exploits used in the current jailbreak or if a new one will be released. We know that the Pangu tool for 8-8.1 was patched with iOS 8.1.1 and the team has been quiet ever since. There is a small chance that iOS 8.1.3 will patch the jailbreaks but it is more than likely that job will be left to the next major update, iOS 8.2.
With their iOS 8 utility, Pangu produced the quickest ever jailbreak, just a little over one month after iOS 8 was first released. At that point, they were not unknowns, having produced credible jailbreaks for iOS 7.1.1-3 earlier in the year. However, it was also the quickest that a jailbreak was ever patched, again within a month, when Apple issued a new update in the form of iOS 8.1.1.

There is no doubt that we have not seen the last of Pangu. Although they have remained somewhat in the background for the last couple of months, there is word that they may enter into a collaboration with Taig, the very latest jailbreak team, also from China, to produce future utilities. However, that is not set in stone at this point and, until Pangu come back to the limelight, we cannot say if they will be producing a jailbreak for either iOS 8.1.3 or iOS 8.2.

Update: 1st May 2015
iOS 8.2 has come and gone and iOS 8.3 is now the latest iOS version; still we have no jailbreak. It would appear that, with the latest iOS version, Apple patched yet another exploit that was being used by the jailbreak teams, holding things up yet again. However, there is news that Pangu has now settled down to test out a number of exploits in iOS 8.3, which means that a jailbreak may not be so far out of reach after all.
