Although iOS 8.1.2 is now out and 8.1.3 could be on its way, not everyone has updated beyond iOS 7.1.2, despite there being a fully working jailbreak. For some people, this is because they are happy on the older firmware, for others, their iOS device will not run iOS 8 satisfactorily. There is a perfectly good jailbreak available for the older firmware and here’s how to download it:

Pangu Jailbreak supports the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 5S, 5C, 4S, 4
- iPad Air
- iPad Mini 1 and 2
- iPad 2,3,4
- iPod Touch 5
Download & Install Pangu 7 :
- Take a backup of your data using iTunes and or iCloud
- Disable the passcode on your iOS device – Settings > Passcode
- Disable Find My iPhone – Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone
- Download the Pangu jailbreak for Windows or Mac
- Follow the tutorial for installing the jailbreak using a Mac or Windows
Provided you follow the instructions carefully, you should not encounter any trouble with the jailbreak. However, some users have suffered with a boot loop issue following the jailbreak, although the tips here should help you to fix that. If you run badly into trouble with the jailbreak, a rare occurrence but it does happen, you will need to restore your iPhone iPad or iPod Touch. That will mean you will be on iOS 8.1.2 but there is a jailbreak for that, in the form of Taig.
